Call for Submission of Original Research and Review Papers in the Special Issue of the Journal Frontiers in Pharmacology

The international scientific journal Frontiers in Pharmacology has opened a call for publishing papers in a special issue entitled Chemical Composition and Antimicrobial Activity of Essential Oils. The call is open until May 31, 2022.

Frontiers in Pharmacology (ISSN 1663-9812) is ranked in the top 25% of Pharmacology journals (category Q1) according to Scopus and is indexed in the World Web of Science (SCIE / SSCI) with impact factor IF 5.81 for 2021 year. The guest editors of this special edition are Dr. Mijat Božović from the University of Montenegro, as well as Dr. Milan Mladenović from the University of Kragujevac and Dr. Rino Ragno from the Sapienza University in Rome.

The aim of this special edition is to combine original scientific or review papers dealing with the isolation, chemical characterization of essential oils and testing of their antimicrobial activity. Special attention was given to the development of new strategies, both in terms of isolation and in terms of analysis of volatile components. Evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of essential oil and / or its individual components through synergistic effects with conventional antibiotic therapy, as well as action in multidrug resistance models, were highlighted as priority areas of research.
