The Ambassador of Austria meets the Rector of the University of Montenegro

Rector of the University of Montenegro prof. dr Vladimir Božović and Vice-rector for Internationalization prof. Dr. Sanja Peković received today the Ambassador of Austria to Montenegro H.E. Karl Müller and Consul of the Austrian Embassy in Podgorica Ute Friessner.

Rector Božović expressed gratitude for the visit, and stressed the importance of exchanging ideas and experiences in the teaching process and scientific work, participation in joint scientific and research projects, as well as deepening academic and cultural cooperation with Austrian universities and institutes.

Ambassador Müller and Consul Friessner, expressed satisfaction with the fruitful cooperation between the University of Montenegro and Austrian universities so far, and expressed readiness to help expand and encourage cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries.

Vice-rector Peković pointed out the good bilateral cooperation between the University of Montenegro and Austrian higher education institutions, the Alpine-Adriatic University in Klagenfurt and the University of Vienna.

"In addition, Erasmus + cooperation is active with three Austrian universities, namely the University of Salzburg, the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as well as the University of Graz," added Vice-Rector Pekovic, expressing hope that cooperation would be established at an even higher level.

The interlocutors agreed that in the coming period, dedicated and continuous work on the improvement in the fields of culture, education and science will continue to mutual benefit.
