Rector Božović confirms: high education standard at the University of Montenegro

Studying at the University of Montenegro (UCG) is of high quality, so we will repay our debt to this society, announced UCG Rector Vladimir Božović in the "Link" program on Radio Montenegro.

Already, 17,000 young people are studying at the UCG faculties, and Božović states that the Rectorate follows, as much as it can, everything happening in the job market.

"UCG is somewhat a conservative institution, and changes dont happen overnight. We act very actively and responsibly. However, we are concerned that we might not have enough students, which is a broader problem of the state," said Božović.

Speaking of new projects, Božović mentioned that four or five million euros have been allocated for projects.

"These are real funds and important for the life of the university. The liveliness in our campus is greatly felt. As for future projects, the reconstruction of the Architecture Faculty building is in its final phase. Reconstruction of technical faculties is underway, and almost all halls have been renovated. Were implementing new systems, the technology park is near completion, and the building of the Faculty of Philosophy is being worked on with certain changes to be made," concluded Božović.

Božović believes that studies at UCG are of high quality and that there is ample room for improvement. The institution already employs about a thousand workers, and Božović is very satisfied with this aspect.

"The university is a complex institution. There are about 550 employees in academic positions, and the rest are administrative staff. Everyone tries and wants to contribute to the position and society within the country. The academic part is satisfied with the material condition, and the administration shares the fate of the Ministry of Education. However, I would announce that these days a deal with our union is about to be concluded, so their status will improve," Božović announced.
