Strategic dialogue at the University of Montenegro: Global Educational Post-Pandemic Initiatives

The Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, met with Prof. Dr. Irvin Studin, President of the World Commission on Education for All Children in the Post-Pandemic Period. Professor Studin is renowned for his work addressing the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on global education.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Veselin Mićanović, and the organizer of the visit, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, Prof. Dr. Biljana Maslovarić. They discussed the key challenges facing education in Montenegro and beyond, with a special emphasis on the impact of the pandemic on youth and social structures.

The meetings agenda included discussions on effective strategies to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic on students. There was a discussion on the need for comprehensive educational reforms that would ensure the resilience of the education system to future crises.

Rector Božović and his guests exchanged views on possible educational interventions. Specific strategies were proposed, including the integration of digital tools into teaching processes and increasing psychological support for students.

This meeting highlighted the importance of international cooperation in creating educational policies that are resilient to crises and promote sustainable development and the well-being of all students. A mutual commitment was expressed to continue the dialogue and implement innovative solutions in the education sector.
