Announcement of the Rectorate in regard with the Case of Commission Examination of the FPS’s Students

Regarding tendentious and arbitrary public interpretations concerning the case at the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Montenegro, where students requested for exemption of Ranko Mujovic, Professor, from the Faculty of Law and commission examination in the subject International Public Law at the Faculty of the Political Science, we make the following announcement:

The University of Montenegro shall not allow behavior of the Professor being the opposite from norms of the Code of Ethics or manipulation of academic rules of potential abuse of student’s position.

Management of the University of Montenegro finds intolerable any kind of abuse of positions in academic community whether it is about teachers or students, and in accordance with principles of protection of institutional integrity it will insist to process and examine the case until the very end through its own instances formed for that purpose. Therefore, the case of Professor Mujovic and student of the Faculty of Political Sciences shall be examined through procedures of the Centre for Studies and Quality Control established in the Rectorate and through the Court of Honor in order to determine facts hence making adequate sanctions. 

According to manipulations of academic norms and standards of higher education quality, the Rectorate will address in a principal, responsible manner without any exceptions.  

We state that examination process at the Faculty of Political Sciences, despite of this case, is protected and conducted completely.

On the course and results of the process, the public will be duly and fully informed as it has been so far.
