SCUMNE: Prolonged Terms of Office of Deans of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and Maritime Faculty Kotor on the University of Montenegro
The Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro (SCUMNE) at proposal of the Faculty Council and opinion of the Rector of the University of Montenegro Danilo Nikolić, PhD, made decisions on election of Predrag Miranović, PhD, for Dean of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and Špiro Ivošević, PhD for Dean of the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor, for term of office 2020-2023.
Both deans were proposed by the Council and elected in the second term, whose proposal was accepted by the Rector, having in mind the bio-bibliographic references of candidates, their previous professional engagement and experience in managerial positions, especially as dean in the current term.
Ivošević's mandate will be extended from September 26th, and Miranović’s from October 19th, 2020. Chairperson of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro, Dusko Bjelica said that next to personnel issues, the agenda included, among other things, financial operations of the University of Montenegro.
- The Steering Committee gave its consent to the Institute of Marine Biology UMNE to conclude contract with Terna Crna Gora d.o.o. for provision of environmental monitoring services during trial operation and after official commissioning of submarine floor cables, electrode cables and the electrode itself. Also, this institution was given consent to conclude two contracts with the company EPTISA Southeast Europe from Belgrade, to provide marine ecosystem monitoring services within the project Support for the implementation and monitoring of water management in Montenegro, said President Bjelica.
