Importance of the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro in the Internationalization of the University

Directors of the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro, Milena Lipovina-Božović, PhD and prof. Gao Qinglong have met the Rector of the University of Montenegro Vladimir Božović, PhD and Head of Rector`s Office Ms Dijana Jovanović in order to present the activities and discuss the future development of the Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro.   

Rector Božović welcomed and wished a successful work to the newly appointed Chinese director and congratulated her new appointment.

Directors introduced Rector Bozovic with current organization and activities that are implemented at the Confucius Institute. All participants have expressed their content due to the fact that free-of-charge Chinese Language courses are organized for over 150 students of the University in Podgorica and Niksic.    

It was agreed that an important component of the future development of the Confucius Institute should be a stronger student and academic exchange between partner universities.  

In the following period, it was agreed that the meeting of representatives of the University of Changsha of Science and Technology and the University of Montenegro should be organized, in order to encourage further cooperation between the partner universities and the implementation of joint projects in various fields.

The importance of the Confucius Institute in promoting Chinese culture and language at the UMNE was emphasized, and its importance for internationalization of the University.
