The Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro organized an educational and cultural visit of the delegation from Montenegro to China under the name "Chinese Bridge".
The Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro, in cooperation with the Center for Cooperation and Education of Chinese and Foreign Languages and Changsha University of Science and Technology, organized an educational and cultural visit of the delegation from Montenegro to China under the name "Chinese Bridge", in the period from July 3 to 12, 2023.
In addition to the director of the Confucius Institute at UCG, prof. Gao Qinglong and prof. Milena Lipovina-Božović, and Institute secretary Tamara Bulatović, who led the Montenegrin delegation, ten representatives of educational institutions from the University, as well as primary and secondary schools in Montenegro with which the Confucius Institute cooperates, participated in the educational visit.
During their stay, members of the delegation visited two prestigious universities in China: Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing and Changsha University of Science and Technology, where they discussed with the leaders about future academic cooperation: exchange of students and academic staff, and joint projects of interest to both parties.
The delegation had the opportunity to visit Xinlu Elementary School in Changsha and see for itself the quality and content of the Chinese education system and gain insight into different teaching methods.
In addition, through various cultural and educational content, the delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the culture and history of China, as well as with its modern side, which enabled the visitors to gain a deeper understanding of this dynamic and rapidly growing country. During the visit to Beijing, the delegation visited famous historical places: the Great Wall of China, the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the unique Beijing district "Hutong".
In Hunan province, in addition to getting to know the regional culture and its capital, Changsha, the delegation also visited Zhangjiajie, a famous national park in this province under UNESCO protection.
The delegation also visited Shenzhen, one of the fastest growing cities in the world, which plays a key role in Chinas economic development. A visit to Shenzhen provided a deeper understanding of the economic, technological and cultural trends shaping modern China.
The entire visit was enriched by the exchange of experiences and ideas, with the aim of deepening the cooperation between Montenegro and China. This trip confirmed the importance of intercultural exchange and cooperation in the field of education. The Confucius Institute will continue to work on strengthening ties and deepening understanding between Montenegro and China through future initiatives and joint educational projects.
