Mid autumn festival (中秋节, Mid-Autumn Day) - One of the most important holidays in Chinese culture, also known as the Moon Gingerbread Festival, which is why it is a favorite holiday among the Chinese. In terms of popularity, this festival is second only to the celebration of the New Year according to the lunar calendar. The symbols of this holiday are the mooncakes that people share with their relatives and friends.
The Mid-Autumn Festival has been celebrated for 3000 years. Why is the Mid-Autumn Festival so important? It is associated with the moon and the Chinese are very fond of it. In Chinese culture, the full moon is a symbol of peace and prosperity for the whole family. Its roundness symbolizes integrity and unity. In China they say: "when there is a full moon in the sky, the whole family should gather around the family table."
We owe a great deal of gratitude to the school principals for their cooperation, and we are especially glad that we returned to the student desks for a moment and enjoyed the Festival together.
