EIC Greenhouse Gas Webinar @EIC Summit 2021: Carbon Neutrality
he European Innovation Council (EIC) is organizing a webinar aimed at SMEs and innovators in Europe, to learn more about Carbon Neutrality. During the webinar participants will exchange information, knowledge and ideas on the most critical aspects of Climate Neutrality and how it can help any company reach sustainable growth.
The European Commission is changing the landscape for tackling the approach to climate change. They’ve made their ambition to become Climate Neutral by 2050 clear, as it becomes paramount for companies operating inside Europe to understand what this means for them. Given the climate crisis is upon us, questions like ‘How can I become Carbon Neutral?’ or ‘What is the difference between Net-Zero and Climate Positive?’ are pivotal towards understanding what needs to be done to protect nature and humanity.
This webinar shall enable 30min presentation, followed by a 15min Q&A session, with following Agenda:
- A description of general GHG management systems like Science Based Targets
- A presentation of the context and dynamics of the voluntary carbon market
- Some insights related to Climate Projects: how they can compensate for emissions not yet reduced to zero and the main principles behind that can guarantee the credibility of these projects
- The difference between Carbon Neutrality, Climate Neutrality, Net-Zero, Climate Positive, etc.
- How companies can voluntarily obtain accreditation for Carbon Neutrality and how it benefits them
