On November 2, 2022, Montenegro joined the Program for Financing Multilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation in the Danube Region, which resulted in the publication of the Call for Joint Proposals for Multilateral Scientific and Technological Cooperation Projects in the Danube Region for the period 2023-2025.

The Republic of Austria, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of France, Montenegro, the Republic of Serbia and the Slovak Republic are participating countries in the call.

The Call. which is open to all scientific disciplines and thematic areas includes social sciences and humanities, aims to:

contribute to the improvement of scientific activity in the participating countries through financing the mobility of researchers within the framework of joint research projects;
contributes to the development of research capacities in the Danube region;
support the improvement of cross-border research cooperation;
provide an opportunity for young researchers in the participating countries to cooperate in an international environment and to develop a career in science;
enable joint participation in European research projects.

Submission is completed simultaneously at the same time with the competent institutions of all the countries from which the project partners resides. Project proposals that are not submitted in this way will not be considered.

Note: Experts will select a maximum of 3 best-ranked projects that meet the conditions for financing. Additional projects approved by the selection committee may include Montenegrin partners, but Montenegrin researchers will have to bear their own costs.
