Biography - Vukićević Boris

BIOGRAPHY
Boris Vukićević is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Montenegro in Podgorica. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Montenegro in 2005 and obtained his MA and PhD from the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Montenegro, where he has been employed since 2005. He teaches History of Diplomacy, International Relations, International Organizations, International Relations Theories, and Diplomatic and Consular Law. Vukićević studied for periods of time at various foreign universities including the Pontificial Gregorian University in Rome, University of Vienna, and Bard College in New York. He was a participant in several conferences in former Yugoslav countries, Poland, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Bulgaria, Norway, Turkey, Georgia, etc., a member of four electoral monitoring missions in Ukraine, and senior researcher on various regional projects. His research deals mostly with the history of international relations, comparative Balkan politics, as well as with subjects of contemporary international relations, particularly the Holy See and its foreign policy. He is a member (since 2013) and served as a secretary (2014-2016) of the Center for Young Scientists of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Committee for Legal and Political Sciences of Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, a member of the Editorial Council of the Lexicon of Montenegrin Diplomacy, and he served as the Chief of masters and PhD studies (2012-2015) and Vice dean (2012-2015; 2018) of the Faculty of Political Science in Podgorica. He also served as the president of the Ethical Board (2017-2020), and Vice-rector of the University of Montenegro (2018-2020). Currently, he is a Chairman of the Ph.D. Board of University of Montenegro. He is the author of numerous academic papers as well as a book on the diplomacy of the Holy See.
