Biography - Janjić Mileta

Prof. Mileta Janjić, Ph.D., B.Sc. Mech. Eng., full professor at the University of Montenegro, was born on August 31, 1967 in Žabljak. He completed primary and two grades of high school in Žabljak, and the third and fourth grades of high school in Nikšić, majoring in natural mathematics. He is the recipient of the "Lucha" diploma.

In 1986, he enrolled in studies at the University of Montenegro - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Titograd and went to serve his military service in the JNA. After completing his military service, he began his studies and graduated on July 6, 1992. years.

After graduating, he started working at the University of Montenegro - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica on September 1, 1992. as an associate, where he enrolled in post-graduate studies, major: Production engineering, specialization: Production techniques and technologies. He defended his masters thesis entitled: "A contribution to the modeling of metal flow during volumetric shaping of axisymmetric elements" on March 7, 1997. years. After his masters degree, he was elected to the position of assistant.

He defended his doctoral dissertation entitled: "Investigation of stress deformation parameters in processes of bulk metal forming" on October 5, 2005. years. He was elected to the position of assistant professor at the University of Montenegro on October 26, 2006. years. He was elected to the position of associate professor on December 22, 2011. year, and was elected to the title of full professor on 26.12.2017. years.

He is the author of over 130 papers published in international and domestic scientific journals and conferences, a number of which are indexed in the international citation databases SCI/SCOPUS. He is the author of a monograph and a textbook. He participated as a member of work teams and manager of several scientific professional projects, as well as in other, numerous professional activities.

Attended several training courses and study stays at well-known international higher education institutions:

  1. The University of Birmingham (UK), from 15.06.2000. until August 20, 2000. years
  2. International Language Schools - Nottingham (UK), from 21.01.2001. until 11.02.2001. years
  3. Montanuniversitaet Leoben (Austria), from 01.03.2001. until 31.05.2001. years
  4. Southern Methodist University in Dallas - Texas (USA), from 01.05.2006. until August 1, 2006.

He was several times on shorter (one to two weeks) study stays and trainings at:

  1. Sapienza - Universita di Roma, Italy
  2. Graz University of Technology, Austria
  3. Institute for Production Engineering - IPU, Copenhagen, Denmark
  4. University of Ljubljana (ULJ), Slovenia
  5. University of Alicante, Spain
  6. Hamburg University of Technology, Germany

He held the position of vice dean for scientific research at the University of Montenegro - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the period 2018-2022. He was a member of the bodies of the University of Montenegro: the Center for Quality Improvement, the Council for Natural and Technical Sciences and the Editorial Board.

Prof. Dr. Mileta Janjić is an academician and the current president of the Engineering Academy of Montenegro.
