Biography - Vujičić Vladan

Vladan Vujičić was born on August 30, 1968 in Titograd (Podgorica), Montenegro, where he finished elementary and high school.

He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica, University of Montenegro, on February 5, 1993. At the same faculty, he defended the master's thesis titled: "Control of the grader device at a given path", on December 29, 1995. He received Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering from the Univeristy of Belgrade, Serbia, after defending his doctoral dissertation entitled: „Extending of the exploitation characteristic of the switched reluctance motor drive using asymmetrical configuration of the motor and the power converter” on March 1, 2001.

Since April 1993 he has been employed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Podgorica. He became an assistant professor in June 2002, associate professor in July 2007 and full professor in June 2012.

In June 2001 he was at the Catholic University of Leuven as a visiting scholar (granted by the Coimbra Group). He also visited the University of Ljubljana (January 2004), La Sapienza University in Rome (June 2006) and the University of Mining and Technology in China (Xuzhou, December 2015) within the framework of the implementation of various projects.

In the period from 2002 to 2004 he served as the Head of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Automatics. From June 2011 to May 2019 he was Chairman of the Study Committee B4 (DC Systems and Power Electronics) - Montenegrin Committee of the International Council for Large Electric Networks (CG KO CIGRE).

He has published over seventy scientific papers in international and domestic journals, as well as at international and domestic conferences. As an author or co-author, he published three textbooks and a dozen scripts used in teaching. He participated in the development of nine domestic and international scientific and research projects. For the project realized in the period from 2005 to 2007 he received special recognition from WUS-Austria (Certificate of excellence - Best content). He is a reviewer in several international journals from the IEEE and IET edition. Under his mentorship, two doctoral dissertations, three master theses and many graduate and specialist works were defended.

He is a member of the International Association of Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and the International Council for Large Electrical Networks (CIGRE).
