Biography - Matijević Snežana+

Professor Snezana Matijevic, PhD, was born on 6 July, 1963 in Kotor. She completed her primary and secondary education in Tivat with high marks.

In 1982 she enrolled in the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Belgrade and graduated on 28 September 1987. Soon after completing her internship she got a permanent employment at Primary Health Care Center in Tivat in 1987. She worked there as director from 2006 to 2016.

She began her specialist studies in Children and preventive dentistry on 1 May, 1995 and passed her specialist exam on 7 May, 1998 with the highest mark before the Examining Commission of the Preventive and Children Dentistry Clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade.

On 1 October 1996 she began her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade and received her master’s degree on 8 June, 1999 with the thesis entitled Oral health in school children in the coastal region of Montenegro.

She obtained her PHD on 18 May, 2003 with the dissertation entitled Defining the model of preventive dental care for infants from the Faculty of Dentistry in Belgrade.

When the School of Dentistry was established at the Medical Faculty of the University of Montenegro she was appointed lecturer on Preventive dentistry I & II, Children dentistry, Dental injuries and Dental management. She was elected to title of Assistant Professor on 29 April, 2010. She was awarded the title of Primarius by Commission for awarding the title of primarius of the Ministry of Heath of Montenegro on 22 October 2010. In 2015 she was elected to title of Associate Professor.
