Study Visit to Technical University Köln in Germany

Professors and associates of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering within Erasmus+ mobility program on the university in TH Köln in Germany, where they were welcomed by Director of the Institute Hasan Smajić, PhD.

Aim of the mobility is analyzing opportunities for cooperation on future projects, meeting with curricula and methods of learning on the university Köln but also exchange of knowledge and practice within area of international cooperation.      

On that occasion professors and associates of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty had the opportunity to visit laboratories and amphitheaters of the Technical University Köln. Visit to TH Köln was paid by: Aleksandar Vujović, PhD, Uroš Karadžić, Jelena Šaković Jovanović, PhD, Radoslav Tomović, PhD, Nikola Šibalić, Assistant Professor, Esad Tombarević, Assistant Professor, Vidosava Vilotijević, MSc, Rade Grujičić, MSc, Marko Mumović, MSc and Aleksandar Tomović, MSc.

Within Erasmus+ mobility program, doctoral student Vuk Vujošević, 2022/23 attends summer semester on this university. Experience gained in this visit, will contribute to modernization of curricula of the Mechanical Engineering Faculty and strengthening cooperation with companies aimed at increasing practical teaching.

On this occasion, Professor H. Smajić organized a visit to the industrial technology fair in Hanover MESSE2023, which represents the worlds leading fair and center of industrial transformation. At the fair, more than 4.000 exhibitors presented their designs for digital, connected, sustainable industry, hosting 130.000 visitors from all over the world.

The fair showcased modern technologies such as production with neutral CO2 emissions, hydrogen and hydrogen cells, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, digital simulation of production processes (Digital Twins), energy efficiency and management of energy sources, fluid technology, modern materials and coatings, pressure vessels made of composite materials, power electronics and automation, laser welding, special cutting tools as well as innovations in numerous other areas of engineering integrated into Industry 4.0.
