Biography - Radović Goran

GORAN RADOVIC born in 1962, doctor of technical sciences in the field of architecture and urban planning, professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, University of Montenegro. He completed his basic studies in 1987 at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He completed postgraduate master's studies in 2000 at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, Department of Architectural Organization of the Area (AOP) in the direction of Habitation. He completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade in 2003, where he obtained the academic title of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the field of architecture and urban planning.
After completing basic studies, he worked for fifteen years in practice in Montenegro, from 1987 to 2002. During that period he worked for four years in the Republic Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments of Montenegro. Since 2002 he has been working at the University of Montenegro. For seven years he worked in the Municipal Enterprise of Podgorica as the head of the technical service and as a technical director. He worked for one year in the construction companies. For two years he has worked in international humanitarian organizations in Shelter programs.
Since 2002 she has been working at the University of Montenegro, first as an assistant at the Faculty of Civil Engineering until 2005, then until 2007 at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kotor, and since 2006 at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica.
At the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, University of Montenegro, he has been employed since its establishment since 2006, whose process of establishment was personally managed and implemented as V.D. Dean. He is a professor at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, where he teaches following courses: Tourism and Catering Facilities, Economic Buildings, Synthesis Project II, Synthesis Project III, Synthesis Project VI and History of Architecture of Montenegro. At the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kotor since 2002 he has been teaching following courses: Hotel Engineering - Undergraduate Studies of Hotel Management, Hotel Design and Interior Design - Postgraduate Specialist Studies and Valorization of Architectural and Historical Art Heritage - Postgraduate Master's Degrees. At the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor, he taught at the postgraduate master's degree the subject of Nautical tourism and marina planning.
At the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade, he lectured five subjects (2008-2013) as a visiting professor for undergraduate studies at the third year of two subjects: Tourist facilities and Marinas and Studio Project 4.

For eight years he was a member of the Senate of the University of Montenegro from 2005 to 2013.

He was elected for the title of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Architecture in 2010.

At the University of Montenegro, he conducted the following management tasks:
- Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kotor from 2004 to 2007.
- V.D. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica from June 2006 to March 2007.
- In the period from June 2006 to December 2006, at the same time Dean was two faculties: the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management in Kotor and the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica.
- Dean of the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica from 2007 to 2013.
- The Head of the Department in the Architectural Organization of the Space (AOP) at the Postgraduate Academic Master's Studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica.

In his previous academic career he has published a number of scientific and professional papers published in international journals, international monographs and international conferences. He was a member of the Scientific Committee of many international conferences and a member of the scientific boards of international journals.
He is the author of the scientific monograph "Architecture of Cetinje from the 15th century to the First World War", published by the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2012, published in English.

In the field of protection, conservation and restoration of cultural goods, he has done more than 150 conservation projects for rehabilitation, cosmetic and restoration, and supervised the rehabilitation of a large number of cultural assets in Montenegro:

- 60 projects of rehabilitation and conservation of cultural property, the Republican Institute for  Protection of Monuments of Culture of Montenegro in Cetinje 1987 / 92.

- The project of reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Monastery complex on the island  Beska on Skadar Lake from the fifteenth century. Role in the project: Responsible designer,  in 1992.

In his previous career, he has been engaged in many expert commissions as a supervisory body in the execution of architectural buildings, as a reviser of conceptual and main projects, and as a supervisor in the performance of specific types of architectural buildings in Montenegro. He was a member and president of many juries at architectural and urban design competitions in Montenegro.
He was twice a Commissioner, appointed by the Ministry of Culture, exhibitor and performer of the Montenegrin exhibition at the 11th Biennale of Architecture in Venice, 2008 and at the 12th Biennial of Architecture in Venice in 2010.

As a prominent expert for contribution to the profession and promotion of the state, he won the state award "Trinaestojulska nagrada" in 2009.
Member of the National Council for Culture of Montenegro from 2009 to 2015.
Member of the National Council for Tourism of Montenegro from 2006 to 2010.
Member of the Council of the Center for Conservation and Archeology of Montenegro from 2012 - 2017.

Association of Architects of Montenegro, Engineering Chamber of Montenegro and he was a member of the European Association of Architectural Education (EAAE).
President of the Commission for issuing and subtracting the Conservation License, the Ministry of Culture, from 2013 to 2017.

Member of the Commission for taking the professional conservation exam, at the Ministry of Culture.
He is currently the President of the Commission for Issuing and Subtracting the Research License of the Year to the Ministry of Culture, since 2018.
