Biography - Pajović Igor

Pajović Igor born at 1972 in Berane is married and got two children.

Primary and secondary school, Gymnasium Slobodan Škerović, finished at Podgorica.

B.Sc., agriculture engineer, gets at 1999 with thesis “Economic aspects of peaches production with a special emphasis on the plant protection costs”.

M.Sc.a.e. of agriculture sciences, gets at 2005 with thesis “Еntomofauna of cabbage plants in Montenegro”.

Ph.D.a.e. of agriculture sciences, gets at 2010 with thesis “Phytoparasitic nematodes in greenhouses in Zeta valley”.

Academic education gets at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad.

Starts with a work in Extension service of Montenegro (2003-2004), and then till now continue work at Biotechnical Faculty as researcher.

The main areas of research are harmful animals in agriculture, forestry, human and veterinary medicine, as well as monitoring, control and ecology of invasive pest’s species.

Researcher is engaged as lecturer at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering – subject Wood protection and at Biotechnical Faculty – subjects: Nematology, Quarantine harmful organisms, Research methods in plant protection and Pests in agriculture.

Finished specializations at: Istituto Agronomico per l’Oltremare, Firenze, Italy (2001-2002) - Dr Luca Ongaro; Istituto Agronomico Mediterraneo, Bari, Italy (2002-2003) - Dr Lamberto Lamberti; Istituto per la Protezione delle Piante, Bari, Italy (2006) - Dr Alberto Troccoli; Kmetijski inštitut Slovenije, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2006 and 2007) - Dr Gregor Urek, Dr Saša Širca; Michigan State University, East Lansing, USA as USDA Norman Borlaug Fellow (2007) - Dr Georg W. Bird.

Author is engaged as researcher or as project leader on national, bilateral and international projects.

Technical Editor, Co-Editor of the Journal “Agriculture and Forestry”. The researcher is author or co-author of published scientific papers.
