The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering obtained an academic license for artificial intelligence-based software for traffic flow analysis

Based on the collaboration of professors from the Department of Road Traffic at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Montenegro with the Czech company DataFromSky, an academic license for artificial intelligence-based software for traffic flow analysis has been obtained.

This software represents an innovative solution for the development of smart city concepts through efficient traffic flow management. Furthermore, the software has applications in traffic safety, smart parking, adaptive traffic control, and other intelligent transportation systems. This marks a significant step towards the implementation of the Development Program and the introduction of intelligent transportation systems in road traffic for the period from 2022 to 2026.

In addition, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering possesses equipment for analyzing the emission of harmful traffic products "Aeromon," as well as the "DJI Matrice 600 Pro" drone specialized for this type of traffic research. Preliminary research has been conducted on the campus of the University of Montenegro by associates and students of masters and doctoral studies. This year, scientific research is planned in the areas of traffic flow capacity, traffic safety, and ecology in road traffic. The results will be published through scientific papers in international journals and masters theses of students in the Road Traffic study program.
