Biography - Krivokapić Zdravko

Zdravko Krivokapic PhD, a full professor of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica, was born on 09.02.1958 in Niksic.

He graduated in 1981 at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Montenegro, Department of Production Engineering, as a first generation graduate. As the best student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, he won the "December 19" student award for the school year 1980/81.

He enrolled postgraduate studies in 1983 at the Department of Production Engineering within Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. Master's thesis entitled "Planning and inventory management of spare parts" has publicly defended in 1989. He received his PhD in 1993 from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica. The theme of the thesis was "Contribution to the design of automatic technological process of cutting through expert-system". During thesis preparation, he stayed as a guest researcher at the Institut fuer Recneranwendung in Planung und Konstruktion Universitaet Fridricana (TH) Karlsruhe, as a DAAD Foundation scholar with prof. dr. eng. H. Grabowski.

He does his internship in the Ironworks "Boris Kidric" in Niksic during 1982. As an assistant at the Department of Production Engineering within Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Podgorica, he was elected in 1983. As an assistant professor of the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, he was elected in 1994. As an associate professor of University of Montenegro in Podgorica, he was elected in 1999. He became full professor at University of Montenegro in 2004, when he was elected for subjects Informatics and Quality Management System.

He is a president of the Organizing Committee and member of the Program Advisory of SQM Conference and International Conferences ICQME. He is an editor of the international journal International Journal for Quality Reserch, indexed in the Scopus database, which has been published since 2007. He is a member of the program committee of four magazines and 13 international conferences.

Since 1996, the he was a head of the Center for Quality, which is the first certified organizational unit within the University of Montenegro (ISO 9001). From 26.06.2003 to 21.05.2006, he was a member of the collegial body of the Accreditation Body of Serbia and Montenegro. Since August 2007 until 2016, he was the president of the Board of Accreditation Body of Montenegro.

In the context of scientific research, he published more than 250 papers in international journals, national journals, international conferences and national conferences. He is the author of 16 books/textbooks and 13 scripts. Prof. Dr. Zdravko Krivokapic implemented 14 scientific research projects and 22 professional projects. As a manager has implemented 8 scientific research projects and 17 professional projects.

He is a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and Head of the Center for Doctoral Studies at the University of Montenegro.
