Biography - Maraš Srđan

Srdjan Maras was born in Paris, France, June 18th 1973. Primary and secendary school attended in Podgorica. He studied Philosopy on The Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. He graduated from Philosophy on The Philosophy Department (subject Aesthetics).

He attended postgraduate studies in the field of Aesthetics from 1998 until 2006 on The Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. He finished postgraduate studies with master's thesis The Eros and Ethics in the work of Emmanuel Levinas (Professor Mirko Zurovac as a mentor and professors Jovan Babic, Mladen Kozomara, Milos Todorovic as members of Committee).

 At the end of 2013 he gained PHD in Philosophy (field Aesthetics). The topic of his doctoral thesis was Eros and responsibility – Levinas an-archeology of love. He worked with professor Mladen Kozomara as a mentor (Professors Milanko Govedarica, Nebojsa Grubor were members of Committee).

From 1999 he is employed on The Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic, University of Montenegro. He works at The Philosophy Department as an assistant professor for the following subjects: A Philosophy Concepts and Problems, A Philosophical Discipline, Introduction in Aesthetics, Antique and M. A. Philosophy of Art, The Modern and Contemporary Aesthetics and History of Philosophy of 20century.

From 2014 he is engaged as a visiting professor on The Faculty of Dramatics Arts, Cetinje, University of Montenegro for the subjects Aesthetics I and Aesthetics II, programs for Theater Director and Dramaturgy.
