Learning outcomes:

Master Interdisciplinary Study Program - Mechatronics, compared to traditional engineering sciences, enables students develop holistic (complete) consideration of the product, achievement of technical competences by acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge of the engineering disciplines of mechanics synergy connected, electronics (controlling), and information technologies, then personal competences and competences of the team work aiming to meet mechatronics requirements. The students will be able to:  communicate efficiently with the engineers specialized for different disciplines (mechanical engineering, electrotechnics, softwares, hydraulics, etc.);  demonstate their knowledge and understanding of a field of mechatronics, which presents a base for development of critical opinion and application of multidisciplinary knowledge;  possess ability of having critical opinion, capability of analysing problems, synthesis of solutions, anticipate performance of selected solution in practice with clear picture of what are good and bad sides of selected solution and what are its limitations;  apply knowledge in resolving problems in the new or unknown environment in wider or multidisciplinary fields within educational-scientific field of study;  observe a product design taking at the same time all aspects of different engineering fields in consideration;  determine functional interaction of mechanical, electronic and information technologies;  connect space subystems to one unit;  apply specialist knowledge of the mechatronics field in creative and innovative manner while designing, developing and producing modern products;  adjust mechatronics products to changeable tasks and situations;  design control functions of a mechatronics system;  design mechatronics products and systems in order to upgrade and/or optimize functionality of the project designing;  ensure multifunctionality of the product related to microprocessors set by the computer program;  consider, analyse and interpret contents of the scientific works, actual problems and innovation in the field of mechatronics;  use methods of experimental verifications of innovations and scientific discoveries by using modern engineering tools;  perfom experiments independently, process the results, as well as to formulate and make adequate conclusions;  to integrate their knowledge, solve complex problems and make evaluation based on accessible information containing consideration of social and ethical responsibilities of profession related to application of their knowledge and judgement,  demonstrate their knowledge and reasoning method clearly and unambiguosly to expert and general public;  properly prepare and have results of their work published in the international magazines, on the conferences and in the projects proposals;  continue studying at other universities abroad.
