Professor Dr. Darko Bajić, a full professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, is the recipient of the annual award from the University of Montenegro for outstanding contributions to the development of scientific research and international positioning.
Professor Bajić, through his engagement and research work, has significantly contributed to the advancement of the scientific sphere and international visibility of the University of Montenegro. Over the past year, he distinguished himself as the author or co-author of three scientific papers published in journals with a high impact factor (SCI list) and two papers in journals indexed in the SCOPUS database.
His active research has also resulted in participation in international conferences, where he presented five papers that were published in full. Additionally, Professor Bajić has presented his research results through two papers in nationally significant journals, establishing himself as a recognized expert in the field of welding technology and materials science.
Furthermore, Professor Bajić actively participated in the editorial work of two national scientific journals in the region and contributed to the peer review process of papers published in international journals.
His contributions were not overlooked in the field of international projects, where he was a team member or leader, and he also engaged in mobility programs such as ERASMUS+ and CEEPUS, providing lectures and knowledge exchange with colleagues in the region.
The citation impact of his works in 2023 is an impressive indicator of the success of his scientific work, further confirming his relevance and influence in his field.
