Dr. Nikola Bešić, researcher and engineer, has found his true fulfillment in the mountains, where his passion for geology, cryosphere, meteorology, and climatology merges with his love for hiking. Born in Montenegro, Bešić began his academic journey with a degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro before continuing his education in France, where his career further took shape.

During the international symposium "Days of the Diaspora and Friends of Montenegro" held in October at the University of Montenegro, Bešić presented to scientists on remote sensing, describing it to Mia Kružić, a masters student at the Faculty of Political Science, as "observing the Earth with super-eyes." He also spoke to her about the rules of the scientific world and touched on a small series of articles on the climate crisis, of which he is a co-author. Emphasizing the need for more attention to climate change in Montenegro, he conveyed that engaging in science requires a certain degree of "madness" and freedom, as science, in his words, has an artistic element.
