In line with the continuous efforts of the University of Montenegro to improve infrastructure and study conditions, the Administration for Capital Projects has announced an open public procurement procedure for the selection of a contractor for the renovation of the Technical Faculty building at the University of Montenegro. The value of this significant project is 950 thousand euros without VAT, or 1,149,500.00 euros with VAT. The subject of the public procurement is the rehabilitation of the exterior of the building, including facade carpentry and facade, as well as the waterproofing of part of the roof of the Technical Faculty.
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, the Rector, emphasizes that this initiative is part of the broader strategy of the University to modernize its facilities and represents the beginning of a new stage of reconstruction, which, among other things, is implemented through this public procurement in collaboration with the Administration for Capital Projects. The Rector emphasizes that the goal is to ensure a quality environment for studying and scientific research through infrastructure improvements to the facilities of the University of Montenegro.
Bids for participation in the tender are to be submitted by December 28th at 10:00 AM, and the validity period of the bids cannot be shorter than 90 days. The decision on the selection of the most favorable bid will be made no later than February 26, 2024, while the maximum technical deadline for the completion of the specified works is set at 150 days from the date of the contractors commencement of the job.
In addition to the above, the Administration for Capital Projects has included in the public procurement plan for the current year the construction of a sports hall for the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education, with a value of 1,815,000 euros including VAT. Furthermore, the construction of the Philological Faculty in Nikšić is planned, with a projected amount of 4 million and 235 thousand euros, also including VAT. The funds for these investments have already been allocated from the capital budget for the 2023/24 fiscal year.
