Today, the University of Montenegro campus hosted an olive harvest event, with participation from both students and university staff. This joint activity is part of the University’s ongoing initiative to promote environmental responsibility and organic production.

The olives carefully picked by students and staff will be processed into a new batch of branded university olive oil, Oleum Olivarum. This high-quality, organic olive oil will be produced through cold pressing of hand-picked, untreated olives, under the quality control and supervision of the University of Montenegros Biotechnical Faculty.

Oleum Olivarum symbolizes the collaboration between the University of Montenegro and numerous partners, reflecting their commitment to the values of a knowledge society, international prosperity, and environmental responsibility. The first bottles of this oil will be gifted to partners who have supported this initiative.

As a reminder, the olive trees planted on the University of Montenegro campus were part of special events during which high-ranking Montenegrin officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the academic community participated in planting these trees.

In line with its mission, the University of Montenegro will continue to promote raising ecological awareness, investing in a healthier future, and encouraging socially responsible behavior for future generations, while also supporting the importance of organic production in preserving ecological values.
