Pre-Exam Tests and Final Exams to be Taken from June 8th to July 24th

Pre-Exam Tests and Final Exams to be Taken from June 8th to July 24th

After we have fought for a free canteen and dormitory during the June deadline, and previously extended the deadline for payment of remaining scholarship instalment, we initiated the resolution of other student requests that we pointed out in previous weeks, and relate to the soon arrival of students from the region so to approach examination obligations, dynamics of taking pre-examination and examination obligations.

After the National Coordination Body for Infectious Diseases (NCB) gave its consent for the resumption of the work of higher education institutions and moving into student dormitories from June 1st, based on received requests of students and their representatives, the Student Parliament UMNE will send proposal to the Senate for adoption.

The Proposal:

In the period from June 1st to 8th, opening of the faculty is planned, as well as the organization of backlog laboratory exercises, consultations, etc.

In the period from June 8th to July 24th, the June exam period will be organized, which includes pre-exam (colloquia and corrective) tests, as well as final exams.

Pre-exam tests from June 8th will be organized for those subjects not having been possible to conduct online during temporary suspension of the work of the faculty, based on the decision of the competent state institutions. After completion of pre-exam tests, final exams will be organized, concluded by July 24th . At the meeting, it was also agreed that final exams in the subjects from which pre-examination tests have not been conducted, cannot be implemented from June 10th, yet after their completion.

Organization of final exams in the subjects from which the pre-exam tests were conducted online, is planned as early as June 10th and will last until July 24th.

When determining schedule of taking pre-examination obligations and final exams, vice-deans and student commissioners as well as representatives of the years at the faculties must take into account the equal workload of students and compliance with legal regulations, as well as the fact that Saturdays will be working days, i.e. days for  organising pre-exam assessment as well as final exams. By defining the stated dynamics of taking pre-exam tests, as well as final exams at the University of Montenegro, we meet requirements of students, which are presented to the management and competent bodies of the University, as well as competent state institutions by the top student institution that represents interests of 20.000 university students from the largest higher education institution in our country.
