Information Regarding Enrollment and Taking Admission Exam in a New Two-Year Master Studies




Having in mind the current situation and measures taken to prevent and prevent the spread of COVID-19, the University of Montenegro will organize exclusively electronic application of candidates for the competition for enrollment in new two-year budget master's studies, with the obligation to send original documents by mail.

The entrance exam is mandatory for all candidates, and it will be conducted in the premises of the organizational units of the University of Montenegro.

Pursuant to Article 95 of the Law on Higher Education “Enrollment in master's academic and applied studies is done on a competitive basis, in accordance with the results achieved in basic academic or basic applied studies of at least 180 ECTS and entrance exam, in accordance with this law and the statute of the institution. The content, manner and procedure of taking the entrance exam and more detailed criteria and their evaluation, as well as the manner and procedure and level of harmonization of study programs of basic studies for enrollment in the first year of master's academic and applied studies, are determined by an act of the institution. Criteria for enrollment in new master studies are defined in Article 6 of this Ordinance, and they are: a) general success in undergraduate studies, VI sub-level of the National Qualifications Framework (diploma of undergraduate studies in the amount of 180 ECTS credits), expressed through success index, and b) success in the entrance exam.

Scoring of candidates is defined in Article 7 of this Ordinance and is done by adding the number of points of general success and success in the entrance exam as follows: general success up to 50 points (by multiplying the success index by 5 and success in the entrance exam up to 50 points).

The admission exam has eliminatory character, which is defined in Article 9 of this Ordinance.

The entrance exam is mandatory for all candidates, which is defined in Article 8 of this Ordinance: "Candidates for enrollment for all master study programs organized by the University take the entrance exam."

The same article of the Rulebook defines that "the content and structure of the entrance exam is determined by the organizational unit", with the proviso that "the structure of the entrance exam and the literature on which the questions are compiled should be harmonized with the higher education program of basic studies ...”
