 ERASMUS+ SUCCESS project helds kick-off meeting

The Erasmus + SUCCESS project (Sustainable university - enterprise cooperation for improving graduate employability) goal is to establish sustainable cooperation between universities and the economy through improvement of entrepreneurship education and the exchange of practical knowledge resulting in enhanced employment of graduates. Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen international cooperation and networking of universities and companies at the regional and international level.

The project coordinator is Burch University of Sarajevo and the partners are universities, chambers of commerce, companies and development agencies from Germany, Poland, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, and Montenegro. Montenegrin partners are the University of Montenegro, the Institute - Center of Excellence for Research and Innovation and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, as well as the Montenegro’s company "Hiperion" Ltd. from Nikšić, whose founder is a graduate student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. EU partners will provide strong support to universities from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania, in defining models of cooperation between universities and companies, which will strengthen the positioning and employment opportunities of students in accordance with current labor market and economic needs, as well as to meet project objectives. The project will organize start-up competition as of the final activities, where students from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Albania will present their entrepreneurial ideas to interested parties.

The project foresees the procurement of valuable equipment, study trips and training for both teaching staff and students.

The first project coordination meeting was held online on December 17, 2020. The meeting was attended by all partners who presented their institutions/organizations, after which the meeting and discussion included an analysis of work packages and defined planned activities for the first year of the project, as well as the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on their implementation.
