Biography

Pavle Malović was born on June 8, 1993, in Nikšić, Montenegro. He completed his primary education at “Ratko Žarić” Primary School and secondary education at the “Stojan Cerović” Gymnasium in his hometown. In 2014, he enrolled in undergraduate studies at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić, majoring in Physical Culture, and graduated in 2017. During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded three times for the best academic performance of the year.

In the same year, he commenced specialist studies at the aforementioned faculty and completed them in September 2018 by defending a thesis titled “Differences in Anthropometric Characteristics and Body Composition between the Rugby National Team of Montenegro and the National Team of Bulgaria.” He earned the title of Specialist in Physical Culture with a GPA of B (9.42), and the results of his thesis were published as an original scientific paper in the Journal of Anthropology of Sport and Physical Education.

After completing his specialist studies, he enrolled in master’s studies in the same field and graduated in 2019 by defending the thesis “Assessment of Muscle Strength and Dynamic Asymmetry of the Thigh Musculature in Judokas of Different Age Categories,” with a GPA of B (9.08). He was awarded the title of Master of Science, and his research was published in Archives of Budo (IF-1.59), a journal indexed in the Web of Science database.

In the 2019/2020 academic year, Pavle began his doctoral studies at the same faculty. He defended his doctoral dissertation titled “The Influence of Household Material Status and Parental Education Level on the Nutritional Status of Adolescents in Montenegro” on April 5, 2024, earning the academic title of Doctor of Science in Physical Culture. Part of his dissertation findings was published as an original scientific paper in Children (IF-2.835), a journal also indexed in the Web of Science database.

Since October 2018, he has been employed as a teaching associate at the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education in Nikšić. From 2016, he served two terms as the student representative of the Faculty, during which time he was also a member of the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro, representing student interests in the University Senate. In 2018, he became a member of the Committee for Quality Assurance and Enhancement as a student representative. After his second term ended, he remained an active member of the Faculty’s Student Council, representing doctoral students.

In December 2018, Pavle and his team from the Faculty for Sport and Physical Education won the Student Handball League. In August 2019, he led the Montenegrin delegation to the European University Championships in Combat Sports held in Zagreb (EUSA), where the athletes achieved notable results. A year later, he was elected President of the University Electoral Commission, overseeing student representative elections across 19 university units and appointing new members to the Student Parliament of the University of Montenegro for the 2020–2022 term.

Since 2024, Pavle has been serving as the representative of teaching associates in the Faculty Council. In the 2024/2025 academic year, as a PhD holder, he became a subject lecturer for the course Sports Training. He is also professionally engaged in coaching work with a focus on strength and conditioning, applying modern training methods to support the development of athletes. He actively participates in scientific research and has attended numerous conferences. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for journals under the prestigious publishers Frontiers and Springer Nature.

In the 2021/2022 competition season, Pavle was a member of the wheelchair basketball team KK OSI Paramont, operating under the Paralympic Committee of Montenegro, which also represents the national team in this sport, competing in the Balkan and NLB leagues. From 2003 to 2012, he was actively involved in football and progressed through all youth categories, including the U19 team of FK Sutjeska from Nikšić.

Currently, he is primarily dedicated to his responsibilities as a teaching associate, working with athletes and high-level recreational trainees, as well as representing the interests of associates in the Faculty Council, of which he is an active member.
