Traditional Chinese Medicine a New Pillar of Friendship
The Chinese Embassy organized a social event which had the aim to present the Chinese culture in the hotel “Hilton” and the representatives of the Confucius Institute participated in this event.
More than 60 people attended the “Workshop on traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese-Western medicine” and the “Workshop on management and tourism”. There were also the representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs and the ministries of health. Among many guests, there were the representatives of the Confucius Institute and the hospital of Chinese Medicine.
Cui Zhiwei, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China said that there will be more bilateral exchanges and pragmatic cooperation within the initiative “One Road, One Belt” and the Mechanism 16+ which will bring benefits to both countries.
He mentioned that the workshop for officials presents a very effective way for China and the partner countries to exchange benefits of economic and social development and to understand the development of China by studying and participating in research process in China, which will improve bilateral cooperation and pragmatic exchange. At the end, he expressed hope that that the participants of the workshop will be inspired by the bright future of bilateral and friendly cooperation and that they will become a new work force and experts for bilateral collaboration between China and Montenegro and that they will build a new pillar of friendship.
Ana Vukadinovic, a director of General Directorate for economic and cultural diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the government of Montenegro has always been focused on friendship with China. The cooperation between China and Montenegro has been improved in the last years, especially in the field of economy, Chinese medicine, culture and human resources. Besides this, the collaboration project carried out by the Chinese companies improves the employment rate in Montenegro. Vukadinovic emphasized that an alternate director of the Geological survey of Montenegro signed the memorandum on bilateral cooperation with similar sectors in the field of geological survey in China within the “Workshop on technology surveillance of ecological geochemistry.”
The assistant minister of the Ministry of Health of Montenegro said that China and Montenegro have a good collaboration in many areas, which improved the friendship of these two countries. People from Montenegro have had a lot of benefits in the field of health in the last few years.
Opening “Kina medika” in Montenegro enabled people from Montenegro to find out more about Chinese medicine. The cars donated by China are used in different parts of Montenegro, especially in the north part of the country. All this improved the health index of the country. We expect a new project of planting and growing Chinese medicinal plants which will not be only a new dimension of bilateral collaboration, but a new project which will improve cultural exchange and friendship of these two countries.
At the end, the representative of the National tourist organization of Montenegro thanked China for all opportunities for learning and exchanges. She said that participants found out more about China and economic development and felt enthusiasm and friendliness of Chinese people. They brought back everything that they had seen, heard and noticed. They said that they strongly believe in improvement of the friendship between these two countries and bilateral cooperation, which will bring benefits to both countries.
Luo Chunxia, a Chinese director of the Confucius Institute of the UOM, and a professor Wang Yehua and a volunteer Luo Sha were invited to this event.
