UoM Steering Committee: Competitions for enrollment in master's and specialist studies at the University of Montenegro will be announced tomorrow
Competitions for enrollment in master's and specialist studies at the University of Montenegro for academic year 2021/22 will be announced tomorrow and published on the official website of the University and in daily newspapers published in Montenegro.
President of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro full prof. Rajka Glušica, PhD said that at today's session of the Committee of the University of Montenegro, the contents of the texts of both competitions were determined.
“Competition for enrollment in budget master's studies, for academic year 2021/22, a total of 1,920 places are planned at 17 organizational units of the University, while the competition for enrollment in specialist studies, at 18 organizational units, provides for 2,119 places", said President Glušica.
Applications for the competition for master studies will be submitted to student services on October 1, while entrance exams will be organized in the period from October 2 to 4, in accordance with the schedule that organizational units will post on the website, within the official website of the University (www.ucg.ac.me). Registration and issuance of the certificate will be completed by October 8.
When it comes to specialist studies, applications are submitted to student services on October 4, and enrollment will end by October 6.
ESTABLISHED AMOUNT OF TUITION FEES FOR DOCTORAL STUDIES
President of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro full prof. Rajka Glušica, PhD said that at today's session, the Proposal for determining the amount of tuition for doctoral studies at the University of Montenegro was adopted.
Doctoral students who are not engaged in teaching at the University of Montenegro pay a tuition fee of 250 euros. Those who are hired, on any basis (teaching associates, research associates) will not pay tuition fees, but the costs will be borne by the organizational unit and transfer part of the funds to the University budget in accordance with the Ordinance on the use of funds and other income of employees on projects and within special forms of teaching. Tuition costs are also 250 euros per semester, "Glusica explained.
She adds that after accepting the work with the results of the doctoral dissertation, the student is not obliged to continue paying tuition for the semester following the acceptance of the work, provided that he has already paid the tuition fee for a minimum of 180 ECTS credits and passed all exams.
For students enrolling for the first time in the study program Sustainable Development, in academic year 2021/22, in accordance with the obligations under the international agreement, the first year of study is free.
In the adopted proposal which reduced the amount of the earlier tuition fee, and which is signed by the rector of the University, full prof. Vladimir Božović, PhD, it is stated that this proposal is defined "in accordance with the need to increase interest in enrollment in doctoral studies, which has significantly decreased in recent years, to improve the quality of doctoral studies through motivation of the best candidates, and to reduce the outflow of our best students towards doctoral studies abroad ".
