At the meeting with the Rector of the University of Montenegro, the ambassador of Greece in Montenegro H.E. Panagiotis Partso expressed their interest for cooperation and willingness to  support all activities that will strengthen the bond between the oldest and most comprehensive university in Montenegro and higher institutions in Greece.

Rector Božović, with his vice rectors Sanja Peković and Irena Orović, presented already established cooperation with some Greek universities.

The University has a very intensive cooperation with the Greek universities in projects within the IPA programme, as well as in projects for capacity building in higher education within  the  Erasmus + programme.

When Erasmus+ mobility programme is in question, encompassing students and staff, the University cooperates with five universities:  Hellenic Mediterranean University at Crete, University of West Attica in Athens, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of the Aegean and Agricultural University of Athens.

They agreed that there are possibilities for improvement when student mobility is in question, because in the last year there were seven outgoing and seven incoming mobilities, while the staff mobility is more developed, 20 incoming and 19 outgoing mobilities.

Ambassador Partso expressed his gratitude for being welcomed at the University and pointed out the importance of cooperation and bond establishment between two countries, where he particularly dedicates an important role to educational institutions and the role of a teacher, reminding about the saying by the Alexander the Great: „I owe my life to my father, but I owe my good life to my teacher Aristotle “.
