Students of the University of Montenegro Paid a Visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina within Erasmus+ SMART Project

Students from the University of Montenegro—Milica Vušanović, Miloš Jelovac, and Danilo Planinić—visited the University of Banja Luka from December 12th to 15th as part of the Erasmus+ SMART project (Strengthening Capacities for the Implementation of Smart Specialization Strategies), managed by Milena Đukanović, PhD. This visit provided an opportunity for students to become acquainted with the University of Banja Luka’s operations and key activities in advancing smart specialization strategies in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the three-day visit, students gained insight into the innovative approaches applied by the University of Banja Luka in education and research, with a special focus on the developmental and innovative potential of its faculties. The visit included a tour of the company "Kaldera," a leader in innovative energy solutions. This experience allowed the students to explore practical applications of technology and sustainable development concepts in industry.

A particularly notable activity was their participation in the Career 21 vol. 3 student conference, traditionally held at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka. The conference gathered some of the most successful alumni of the faculty, who shared their experiences and career advice through inspiring talks and panel discussions. The students highlighted that these lectures and interactions with accomplished professionals were extremely valuable for their further professional development.

During the visit, the students also met with representatives of the SMART project and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka. Discussions focused on deepening collaboration between the universities and exchanging ideas for future projects and activities in the fields of smart specialization and innovation.

This visit marks another step in strengthening regional academic cooperation, providing students from the University of Montenegro with valuable opportunities for professional growth and knowledge exchange.
