The Confucius Institute at the University of Montenegro solemnly marked International Chinese Language Day with an event that once again confirmed the strong cultural ties and exceptional public interest in Chinese tradition.

At the beginning of the event, attendees were welcomed by Lu Fangqing, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, who expressed satisfaction with the continuous growth in the number of people studying the Chinese language in Montenegro, emphasizing the importance of such gatherings for deepening cooperation.

She stressed that International Chinese Language Day is a key bridge for strengthening cultural understanding and cooperation between Montenegro and China. She also expressed particular pride in the achievements of the students and thanked numerous partners for their support, stating that the Chinese language remains a lasting bond connecting the two countries on their shared path toward the future.

In addition to the musical segment of the program, visitors had the opportunity to view an exhibition featuring outstanding works from a creative competition dedicated to the Chinese character for spring.
However, the central part of the event was the final singing competition, which received the greatest enthusiasm from the audience. Through music and performance, the participants demonstrated an impressive level of language proficiency as well as musical talent, while the packed hall rewarded every contestant with thunderous applause.
