Marija Bojović, Assistant Professor, Ph.D, graduated in 2007 from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade. In 2012, she obtained her Master of Architecture degree from the prestigious Barcelona Institute of Architecture (BIArch), where she studied as a scholarship recipient. Her master’s thesis, “On Open Work and Implementations,” completed under the supervision of Prof. Clara Solà-Morales, examined the concept of the open work in architecture and the capacity of Montenegrin society to embrace its.

She earned her PhD in September 2021 at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo. Her doctoral dissertation, “Socio-Spatial Manifestations of Transformations of the Good Life in the Context of Transitional Social Change: A Special Focus on the Transitional Architectural Production of Montenegro.”  was supervised by Professor Jasenka Čakarić, Ph.D.

Alongside her academic teaching, she is actively engaged in scholarly research and professional writing in the fields of architecture and urban sociology. Her work is particularly concerned with the dialectical relationship between society–city–architecture, as well as with the phenomenon of housing in all its complexity. She firmly advocates praxis—the essential unity of theory and practice.
